Site Prep, Reinforcement, and Curing
Every project starts with layout, elevation checks, and subgrade proof-rolling. We correct soft spots, install geotextile where needed, and compact an engineered aggregate base for load-bearing support. Forms are set to precise slopes for drainage, then we place rebar or welded wire reinforcement to control cracking and increase strength.
We place the correct concrete mix for the application, finish to your specification (broom, trowel, stamped, or exposed), and install control joints at calculated intervals. Proper curing—via compounds or wet cure—helps achieve design strength. Sidewalks receive smooth transitions and expansion joints; parking lots can include joint dowels, bollards, and coordination for striping.
Driveways, Sidewalks, Patios, and More
Driveways are typically 4–6 inches thick with 3,500–4,500 PSI concrete, a compacted base, and either wire mesh or rebar per load needs. Sidewalks are commonly 4 inches with control joints about every 4–5 feet and compliant cross slopes. Parking Lots are engineered for expected traffic, often 5–8 inches with thicker sections at approaches and dumpster pads.
Gravel Driveway work includes base reconstruction where necessary, geotextile separation to minimize pumping, and a crowned surface for runoff. Foundation Grading sets accurate pads and drainage planes, targeting proper elevations to move water away from structures and prepare for concrete slabs or footings.
Patio Installation offers finishes like broom, stamped, or exposed aggregate with color options and sealers. Retaining Walls are built with drainage stone, filter fabric, and weep details, with geogrid reinforcement where specified. Slab Foundations include vapor barriers, thickened edges or footings, anchor bolts, and level tolerances suitable for framing.
